Today much emphasis is, quite rightly, being placed on the concept of wellbeing - the state of being comfortable, healthy, and happy with one's life.



NHS Choices actively promotes a 5 steps to mental wellbeing programme. This emphasises:-
  •  Connecting to the people around you
  • Being active
  • Keeping learning
  • Giving to others
  • Being mindful

As well as the obvious being 'active', it is well documented that dancing in a group hits all these wellbeing targets in a really fun way. Morris dancing especially so.

The Mendip Morris Men are actively promoting wellbeing through our network of local Clinical Commissioning Groups by issuing this wellbeing leaflet encouraging people to give it a go:-
